Each lesson is dedicated to teaching one sound and spelling at a time—such as a long vowel spelling (i, i_e, o, o_e, u, u_e, e, e_e, ee, or ea), a consonant spelling (ge, gi_, gy_, ce, ci_, cy, _mb, _s, v, _ti_, _ci_, _si_, or qu_), /er/ spelled ear, or an r-controlled vowel spelling (ire, ear, or eer).
