What’s included:

1) Every module has two versions, one for practitioners and another for students.

2) Each lesson builds upon content taught in previous lessons, ensuring a progressive and comprehensive learning experience. These evidence-based, sequential lessons cover critical reading and spelling skills, including phonemic awareness, letter recognition, letter formation, phonics, decoding, fluency, and high-frequency words.

3) In the Novice Program, Lessons 20-36, you will find supportive, step-by-step lessons that help students build confidence and celebrate progress in early literacy. Each lesson focuses on one sound and spelling, such as a short vowel (o, u, or e), or a consonant (x, z, l, y, w, k, j,  or v).

4) Words and sentences that students read and spell increase in complexity from one lesson to the next. By Lesson 36, students can read and spell CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words such as fox, sun, zip, leg, and yes — one-syllable words (desk, swim, just, upon) — and high-frequency words (do, go, my, said).

5) Decodable stories and poetry provide ongoing review and practice of content previously taught.

6) Creative Writing sections support the development of written expression.
